A price changes in the files
You update a price in the files your site is built from. Every page generated from that file is now quoting a number you no longer charge.
Nothing has to go hunting for them. Each of those pages carries a record of what it was built from, so changing the source turns up its dependents. They are edited to the new number and the changes land in your queue. You read them and approve. The pages match your business again.

It started with the content pages, because those change most. It reaches the shells too, the headers and footers and menus that frame every page. Those were built from your files the same way, so they are found the same way.
What this replaces
